Speedworks Motorsport is one of British motorsport's fastest-growing race teams.

This year, the team is moving up once more, whilst keeping up with its British and European duties, the team are supporting team regular Tony Hughes in his Next Generation Touring car on the BTCC package. The BTCC not being the only premier race series the team are to be competing in, they are going to be running Piers Johnson and Ron Johnson (no relative) in GT3 Corvette in the British GT, the first team to bring the marque to British GT racing. As well as continuing with historic racing commitments, 2011 is looking to be another hectic year for Speedworks.

2010 saw Speedworks having its most diverse season yet running the Ginetta G50s in European GT4, British GT, Ginetta G50 Cup, Britcar and Britcar 24hour race. Also competing in several Historic race series, Masters Gentleman Drivers and Heritage Touring Cars to name a few.

In 2009 Speedworks ran 3 Ginetta G50s on the prestigious TOCA package and also ran successfully in the British GT4 Championship. The team also took the G50 out to the States and competed at Sebring with a second in class and at Daytona with a class win.

We also competed in the Heritage Touring Cars series, Masters FIA series and Mighty Minis. The team also supported numerous other racers from Mazda Mx5, Radical sportscars and Vectra Challenge cars.

In 2008, the team fielded up to 4 Ginetta G50s and 9 Ginetta G20s. Having racked up several race wins and podium finishes, Speedworks Motorsport won the G50 teams Championship as well as coming 3rd in the Drivers points.

The team, based in Sandbach in Cheshire, has won races in every category it has competed in since being set up in late 2005 by respected racing driver Christian Dick and experience motorsport events manager Amy Dick. Its success is as a result of its dedication to achieving the highest standards in car preparation and development.

As well as its record of success on the track, the team has also built up a significant national media profile through various other projects, including running the Speedworks Scholarship in 2006/7.

As well as its current racing programmes, Speedworks Motorsport has ambitions to continue its rise up the racing ranks, and is constantly evaluating projects in both sportscar and saloon car racing.

Before its full-time move into Ginetta racing in 2007, the team competed in the successful MaX5 Racing Series for Mazda MX-5. In just two seasons, the team has won races with five different drivers, with Michael Broadhurst, Scot Kirlew, Phil Sykes, Paul Sheard and Christian Dick all tasting victory.
