Speedworks Motorsport came away from their home British Touring Car Championship round at Oulton Park having scored three points-scoring finishes over the day's three races.
Following an eighth placed finish in race one, Speedworks' driver Tom Ingram added to his points haul by taking 11th in Race two and beating Jeff Smith at the line to take ninth in race three
Carrying success ballast and starting fifteenth on the grid by virtue of his performance in race one, race two saw Ingram only just miss out on the top ten, beating Aiden Moffat and Rob Austin to eleventh
"Race two was difficult for us because of our Race One best lap time, it put us right the way back in 15th (on the grid) so it left us massively on the back foot to come through" said Ingram. "We had to kind of battle through and again we kind of picked up places from people having moments, people not finishing more than having the pace to come past people."
After making up a position early on, Ingram looked set to secure tenth place in race three until he got by Jeff Smith with a last lap gasp on the start/finish straight for ninth place.
"We had soft tyres (for Race Three) and they really helped us," he added. "The car felt absolutely fantastic towards the end, we were managing to pick off places left right and centre."
"All-in-all a good weekend. Three decent finishes, three decent points finishes and we can go into Croft with our heads held high."
