Speedworks Motorsport once again finished in the top ten this afternoon, with Tom Ingram taking eighth in round 10 of the 2015 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
2014's top rookie began the race in ninth place and made a fantastic start, but was squeezed out by Aron Smith before turn one, halting his progress through the field.
He held of a persistent Sam Tordoff throughout the race to hold onto eighth and claim his seventh top ten finish in ten starts.
"It was a bit of an anticlimax really, not a lot really happened from my side," Ingram said after the race. "We were stuck in a bit of a rut with Sam Tordoff behind and Jack Goff right in front of me so I was a bit stuck in the middle with not really a lot going on."
"Because we finished eighth we now have to have the dreaded success ballast so we've got about 21 kilos of ballast going in the car which is probably going to affect it fairly considerably," Ingram added. "We're also starting 15th because we could just not get a lap time in. So we're up against it this time but I'm sure we can fight back and I'm sure we'll have a good race this next one."
