TIGER TAKES ON GOODWOOD

Speedworks Motorsport have been preparing for the first historic outing of the season, Nick, Spencer and Christian have been busy this week preparing the Speedworks Sunbeam Tiger for the Masters test day at Goodwood this Friday, it is the teams first opportunity to evaluate the ugrades made to the car during its winter rebuild.

Driving the Tiger for its pre season shake down will be Speedworks regular Neil Merry and Team Principal Christian Dick. "Goodwood is a beautiful and historic circuit, to be doing our first proper shake down there is fantastic" said Christian, "You really couldn't hope for a better setting, the boys have put in hours above and beyond to get this Tiger ready, it will be a superb moment when it finally hits the track."

The pre-season test is being run by the Masters Racing Series. The Tiger will be a regular contender in the Gentleman Drivers series throughout the year. The first meeting being the 9/10 May at Donington Park.

SYKES CONFIRMS 2009 GINETTA G50 CUP CAMPAIGN

Speedworks Motorsport are pleased to announce that Richard Sykes has confirmed his place with the team for 2009. His season will be starting early in Sebring, when the team will be running both Richard and co-driver Nick Hull in his newly updated G50 at the Endurance Challenge on 7/8th March. 'This will be a fantastic opportunity for Richard to get some warm weather testing in his car prior to the season starting,' said Team Principal Christian Dick 'We're thrilled to have Richard on board again for 2009, he's a great ambassador for the Speedworks brand and a popular member of the team.'

Richard is also intending to compete in more of the International GT Events that Speedworks will be entering throughout the year alongside his Cup Campaign.

DRIVES AVAILABLE FOR 2009

Speedworks Motorsport can offer a wide range of competitive opportunities for the 2009 season.

The team is already committed to running a number of cars in the British Touring Car Championship-supporting Ginetta G50 Cup. Last year, Speedworks was the leading team, winning the teams' championship and winning races with Christian Dick. Drives are still available with the team, which has the capacity to run a number of cars.

Alongside the 10-round Ginetta G50 Cup, Speedworks is also branching out into international racing. Next month, the team will run a pair of Ginetta G50s in the Sebring 6 Hours event in Florida, and is planning outings in the Spanish GT Championship and other European events, as well as possible appearances in the British-based Britcar Championship.

Speedworks is able to accommodate new drivers into existing programmes or take on the running of additional cars out of its base in Cheshire with bespoke packages tailored to customer demands.

As well as offering top level car preparation and full race weekend operations and support, the team can also provide high-quality driver coaching, making Speedworks the perfect team for the experienced or novice racer.
