Speedworks announces GT intention for 2010

Speedworks Motorsport is planning to run their Ginetta G50 in the European GT4 Championship. The 2010 season looks a busy one for Speedworks competing in the Heritage Touring Cars, Masters Gentleman Drivers as well as European and British GT and selected rounds of the G50 Cup.

Drives are still available for next year at incredibly competitive prices for one of the most professional up and coming teams in motorsport.

DAYTONA WEEKEND A SUCCESS

Having qualified on the front row at Daytona International Speedway on a grid of more than 40 cars, the team were upbeat for a good result. The first half of the race saw an intense and exciting battle between Christian Dick, fellow G50 Cup racer Colin White and Lester Stacey in an incredibly fast Mustang. The G50s were nimble and quick through the complex's but the Mustang proved its horsepower on the oval. Several safety car periods saw any leads achieved broken and more battling ensued, the Mustang pitted early under one of the safety cars but the two G50s decided to stay out and increase their lead. However, holding out for another safety car proved to be the downfall and eventually they had to pit, dropping the car into 13th position. Tony Hughes jumped in for the second stint which saw him keep his lead on the other G50. However, a fantastic race for all, with some exciting dicing.....after all...not many teams can say they've lead round Daytona!
